Spcine extends applications for Expanded Audiovisual Call for Proposals: R$ 500k for proposals that transform spaces and investigate new languages

With funding of R$ 100k per project, operationalised via PNAB, the public call seeks works that go beyond the traditional screen and occupy urban and exhibition environments; the new application deadline runs until 30 September.

SÃO PAULO, September 2026 — Spcine, the cinema and audiovisual company of the City Hall of São Paulo, linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, has applications open for the Expanded Audiovisual Support Call for Proposals. Facilitated by the Política Nacional Aldir Blanc (National Aldir Blanc Policy - PNAB), the public call will allocate R$ 500k to encourage artistic creation that gives new meaning to spaces through the audiovisual sector. Applications have been extended to 30 September on the spcineeditais.com.br platform.

5 projects will be selected, with the amount of R$ 100k for each. The main objective of the initiative is to bring creators, visual artists, videomakers and producers of new technologies closer together, boosting expressions that challenge conventional forms of production, exhibition and distribution.

What is Expanded Audiovisual?

Beyond the film projected in a screening room or on a mobile phone screen, expanded audiovisual comprises works that use technological image and sound resources to transform the environment around them and create immersive or interactive experiences with the public. The call for proposals will therefore cover proposals that escape traditional formats such as feature films, short films or music videos.

Examples of covered formats include:

  • Audiovisual art installations and immersive environments;
  • Videomapping projections on architecture, façades or monuments;
  • Site-specific works (created especially to dialogue with a specific location);
  • Multimedia performances and digital arts that articulate sound, light, space and narrative.

Who can participate and how to apply?

The call for proposals is aimed at companies with a corporate purpose linked to the cultural area, based in or with a branch in the municipality of São Paulo for at least one year.

Applications are free of charge and are open until 18:00 on 30 September 2026. The process takes place in two online stages:

  1. 1.Consultation of calls for proposals and drafts: access spcine.com.br/editais-pnab.
  2. 2.Submission of proposals and documentation: must be carried out exclusively through the application platform at spcineeditais.com.br.

With this initiative, Spcine and the City Hall of São Paulo expand opportunities for artistic innovation, encouraging the experimentation of new languages and strengthening the cultural and visual ecosystem of the city of São Paulo.
