Call for applications for the co-development of co-productions of cinematographic works between Italy and Portugal – Year 2025 published

The Call for applications for the co-development of co-productions of cinematographic works between Italy and Portugal – Year 2025 is aimed at the development of cinematographic work projects (fiction, animation and documentary) in co-production between Italy and Portugal, intended for theatrical release.

The resources for the 2025 Call for applications amount to 100,000.00 euros, of which 50,000 euros are provided by the Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture and 50,000 euros by the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual) of Portugal. The contribution allocated to each beneficiary project may range between 10,000 and 25,000 euros for fiction and documentary projects, and up to 35,000 euros for animation projects.

From today, Italian majority companies may submit applications for the contribution request to the certified electronic mail address: dg-ca.bandi-cosviluppo@pec.cultura.gov.it by no later than 23:59 on 23 October 2026.

Only requests received through the aforementioned channel will be taken into consideration. Proof that the certified electronic mail message has actually been delivered to the aforementioned address is provided solely by the applicant company receiving a delivery receipt.
