FFA Referenzfilmförderung

Overview

The FFA Reference Film Funding provides grants to producers of successful German cinema films through a retrospective funding system based on a points system calculated from cinema ticket sales and festival/award success.

Eligible formats

Eligibility

Film must achieve minimum reference points within one year of first theatrical release: 150,000 points (visitors) for films under €8M production cost, higher thresholds for higher budget films. Different thresholds apply for debut films, children's films, documentaries, and low-budget films.
